Visited at quieter momentRooms are clean, kinda older style. Pool is nice but no windows to outside. Parking fee. Breakfast not included but central location

NO AC ALERT! WIFI 10 DOLLARS A NIGHT. arrived in a summer day but they have no AC in their room, they will provide fans on request but found that out after checkout, (i cut them off before they explained their environmental friendly policy... Oh yeah... How about you pass on some of that saving from the 250+ dollar charge a night since you are so environmental friendly...) . Parking is 12 dollars self serve but 17 when its 24hr valet. Went with the valet option and service was quick, a little dated in the room but the bathroom is recently renovated, interesting shower options with extra hose (probably catered to Japanese tourist as there were a few). Room is cleaned but limited light options and lights weren't really bright especially at night. Wifi is also not included and it cost 10 dollars per room per night.

I booked a superior king view, which mentions a balcony not a patio. I arrived early and was told to check back at 4. When I did I was given a room on the ground floor that had a view of the sidewalk. They told me all the balcony rooms had been taken. Im not sure why they didnt assign a room when I first arrived. I was very disappointed as the reason I chose this hotel was for the balcony and view as well as the convenient location. Laureen at reception had an unfriendly attitude though she finally agreed to move us to a balcony room the next day. It appears some wings had better mountain views but perhaps they were reserved for the tour groups. Our new 3rd (top)floor room had a limited view but so much better to be able to leave the drapes open. Otherwise the rooms were spacious and comfortable though dated furnishings. We ate in the La Terrazza lounge one night and both the hostess and bartender were great. Overall the lodge felt overpriced though it may be more reasonable off season.

This was a good deal compared to other hotels in Banff. Close to the downtown core which makes it easy to walk anywhere you want. The pool is nice to soak in after hiking. The Sunday brunch is wonderful! There was a conference being held at this hotel when we were there, but it was handled great, you hardly noticed a lot of people.

Clean and comfortable rooms. Friendly staff. Building setup is a little different than usual. Unfortunately they charge you anything extra... Even if you request a bathrobe. Location is great. Near to all stores and restaurants.
