Amazing food and a fun atmosphere. It is a bit off the beaten path but it is well worth it. I haven't seen a menu such as this one in a long time, it was nostalgic of another era and lived up to their reputation. A favourite of the evening was the pickled mango, pear and grapes that came with the raclette. We also enjoyed trying some of the fun regional spirits. A must if you are looking for old world charm in Banff!!
Terrible. My Mom and I were the only customers in the restaurant for breakfastI had ordered the Eggs Benedict which was a big plate with two tablespoons of shredded hash browns, a couple of inches in length and a few inches wide and an inch deep of a piece of loaf which was called a biscuit, two pot-of-water cooked poached eggs placed on the loaf drizzled with two tablespoons of hollandaise sauce. A very high-priced breakfast for such a low-quantity experience. So, if youre seeking a restaurant with high quantity and good quality for a reasonable price, I would not suggest this place. But if youre seeking a restaurant with low quantity and good quality for an expensive price a first class experience, I would suggest this place.
Simply do not understand when staff make you wait for a table while the restaurant is less than one third full. To be greeted by "Do you have a reservation?", rather than "Good evening, welcome. May I find you a table?" Is somply absurd and astoundingly rude. In the experience last night, seemingly rushed and agitated waited asked the reservation question, then gestured in the direction of a vacant and empty space saying you will have to wait for a none existant hostess to seat you.We left. There are plenty of great restaurants in Banff that are more than happy to provide service that is friendly and hospitable.
The raclette was delicious! The Ticino chicken breast is among the best I've had - hazelnut-crusted and stuffed with goat cheese and spring onions, with a side of roasted vegetables. The nut and honey pie was outstanding! Can't wait to go back and try more of their delicious offerings
The ONLY place for reliably good cheese fondue in the Canadian Rockies. Reasonable prices, fabulous food, scrumptious wine and good service. Advise booking a table because people know that this is a great place.
