This is my favorite grocety store in Banff. The selection isn't as big as the chain grocery stores but they have the best produce and a lot of unique items.
Small market with lots of options. I walked through the store and they got pretty decent selection of stuff. Im from out of town and was looking for ice and a styrofoam cooler. They got both at a good price. Prices werent outrageous and was actually pretty decent. I bought some fruit that taste great. I saw that they got lychee but. My own grocery store in Pittsburgh dont even got those. Great market and theres a parking lot right next to it.
They have a large variety of gourmet food. Great place to shop for a special meal. But they are outrageously over priced. A bag of local cherries was $18.
I enjoy shopping here. They always have a great selection of pastries, deli, and fruit and meat isn't to bad. They even have a guest washroom (customers). The staff there are super kind and caring. They'll get you anything you need.
Really great little grocery store. I have lived in Banff about 2 years now, and do most of my shopping at Nesters. Recently I've made a switch to stop using single-use plastic, so that means brining my own bags and jars for their bulk section, as well as produce. Well today I weighed my jar while empty then filled it with cashews, but when I brought it up to the cash register I was told that they had no way to subtract the weight of the jar and they had to put the cashews into a plastic bag to weigh and then put it back in the jar. Needless to say I am very unhappy with this, I know from my research that stores are able to subtract the weight of customer's jars. It goes to show how much Nesters really cares about the environment. :(
